Living A Life of Gratitude

Everyone is welcome at our temple. We hope you’ll enjoy learning, living, and experiencing the teachings of the Buddha, together with our members, to make compassion, kindness, and selflessness a bigger part of all our lives.
The Buddha said the best way to learn is to “come and see for yourself.” The idea is not to accept the teachings blindly, but to understand the dharma by experiencing it.

Everyday Buddhism

Find meaning and fulfilment in your everyday life. Namo Amida Butsu

I bow my head to the truth of enlightenment, wisdom and compassion.

Buddhism is a way of life, rather than a religion of belief, where one can find peace, joy, harmony within your own environment.

Whatever exists in your life is the result of karma, the interconnectedness of others and life’s continual change. No external agent is responsible for your happiness or misery—it is up to you.

The path to reach this way of life is through Nenbutsu; the teaching of the Buddha, which starts and ends with gratitude and appreciation.

Live a Happier and More Fulfilling Life

Learn to awaken yourself to your inner potential. Realize the power of self to control your emotions and discover the cause of suffering and how to lead a more balanced happy life everyday.

Our ministers lead us to our own discovery of living a Dharma-centered life.

The Effects of Gratitude

Gratitude lessens the power that anger, greed, ignorance, and fear have over us. It helps us stay enthusiastic, positive, and optimistic.

You will begin to realize the richness that is in your life and feel the comfort that even those simple things are available to you.

It is one of the best ways to remind yourself of all the good around you.

Enjoy With Your Whole Family

Our Dharma School teaches our children to live a life of compassion and selflessness (vs. selfishness), be kind to others, and to respect others and all beings.
You’ll find that whether young or old, the temple spirit can be felt through the Sangha (our members) who embody the Dharma (Buddhist teachings) in everything we do, from our services to the volunteer and outreach work we do.
