HOW TO HELP THOSE AFFECTED BY THE MAUI WILDFIRES

Dear Dharma Friends & Families,
We extend our thoughts & deepest compassion to the residents of Lahaina, and the greater Maui & Hawaii islands for the loss of loved ones, livelihood, and property caused by the devastating wildfires.
With great sadness, we report that the Lahaina Hongwanji and their Sangha members have been directly impacted. To read full letter please click here (.pdf).

We encourage you to donate, if financially able.
We thank you in advance, for your dana, kindness & compassion as the victims begin the arduous & emotional journey of rebuilding their lives.
With appreciation and Gassho,

The Buddhist Flag

The Buddhist flag is a symbol of equality and inclusiveness used throughout the world to represent the Buddhist faith.
The six colors of the flag represent the colors of the aura that emanated from the body of the Buddha when He attained Enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree. The horizontal stripes represent the races of the world living in harmony and the vertical stripes represent eternal world peace. The colors symbolize the perfection of Buddhahood and the Dharma.
